Great win guys! This was a total team effort. The guys that started the game got us out to a comfortable lead and the guys that came in late held it together for us. Congratulations on a great win. It was good to see everyone contribute tonight.

Freedom Church (2-0) vs. Park Street (2-0)

Freedom Church was able to pull out the victory against the previously unbeaten Park Street team. Earlier in the evening, Park Street played Acworth UMC and won the first game of their double-header. However, Freedom Church turned out to be too much for Park Street to handle. The young team from Freedom showed great determination as they were able to withstand a couple of rallies late in the game from the Park Street team. This win moved Freedom Church to the top of the standings as the sole unbeaten team in the league.

Final Score:: Freedom Church 19 – Park Street 8

Hey guys, enjoy this win! 3-0 is a great way for us to start. But it doesn’t mean that we’ve won anything yet. There’s still five more games to be played including our game next week again Eagle Point. Coming into today’s games, Eagle Point was 0-2 but don’t let that fool you. We can’t look past them. We need to keep this momentum going and keep the defense sharp and the offense big. We’re doing a great job at the plate getting runs across and we’re doing enough in the field to keep our bats a factor in the game. After the next game against Eagle Point, we will have played all the teams in the league. So, the next stretch of games will be against teams that we have seen before – which means they’ve seen us before. We’ve proven we’ve got the speed and the ability to beat them, so let’s make sure we do that. Rest up this week and let’s get ready for next Tuesday night.
